02/03/2010 - Calling All Volunteers!!

We have a number of committees in place to help run the league, and we need some help on these committees. We are asking for volunteers to donate some time and give us a hand. Some of the committees would require a day or two, and some are longer term. If you would like to volunteer,  please contact one of the board members listed below.

02/02/2010 - Dates for State Tournament!!

We have learned that the 2010 State Tournament will be held on August 7th and 8th at Rolf Park in Maumee, which is a suburb of Toledo. The Greater Toledo Challenger website can be found here: gtcll.com/ 

We will add hotel and travel information as it becomes available.

1/12/2010 - Upcoming Dates

Another season is just around the corner and there are a few dates that you need to know about.

First, of course, is Registration Day!!!  Well, Registration Days!!

The dates for registration are:

March 6^th and March 13^th

9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

An online form will soon be posted for those that cannot attend either of the registration days. Please check back here soon for the form and instructions.

Second is, of course, Picture Day!!!

Picture Day is set for:

April 17^th

Starting at 9:00 A.M. and going on all day.

(Your Coaches will have more specific times as the day draws nearer.)

Last, but certainly not least is OPENING DAY!!!!

Opening Day is scheduled for:

May 2^nd

Details for Opening Day will be available from your coaches after registration.

Thank You Tonja and Eric

It is a great honor for the Members of the Board and Officers of Butler County Challenger Baseball to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Tonja and Eric Pohlman. 

After reviewing the operations and financials of the league, a story quickly becomes apparent.  Tonja and Eric have given more to the children and young adults of Challenger Baseball than anyone could have ever asked.  Beyond working long and hard to achieve a growing and vibrant league and the creation of our own "Field of Dreams", the Pohlmans have been generous financial supporters of the league in too many ways to count and far beyond the call of duty.  Moreover, the Pohlmans have left Butler County Challenger Baseball in a stronger financial position than in years past and have even been able to help out members of the league more than ever before.  

During the years Eric served as President and Tonja worked tirelessly to assist him, the Pohlmans consistently acted with class and grace and in the best interests of the league.  These two wonderful forces of good deserve to be remembered by this body and the members of the league with great affection and respect.  By being careful and loving stewards of the leagues mission and resources, Tonja and Eric Pohlman have served with integrity and honor and it is our duty to say thank you.  Tonja and Eric Pohlman, you have our most sincere love, respect and gratitude.
